Welcome to Boatsman’s.com.

This community was born from two lifelong passions: boating and Florida. As a professional mariner, licensed captain, avid Jimmy Buffett fan, and Florida recreational boater, my love for this state — its waters, its culture, and its people — runs deep. Over the years, that love turned into a mission.

And that mission is what you see here today.

I spent 26 years serving as a Boatswain’s Mate in the United States Coast Guard, stationed all across Florida — from Canaveral and Ponce Inlet to Jacksonville, St. Petersburg, Fort Pierce, Miami, and the Keys.

During that time, I:

• Conducted thousands of vessel safety inspections as a Federal Law Enforcement Officer
• Worked alongside some of the finest maritime agencies in the state
• Served as a Heavy Weather Small Boat Coxswain
• Led over six hundred Search and Rescue missions in some of the harshest conditions imaginable
• Spent nine years at sea as a Deck Watch Officer and licensed captain

I’ve seen the best — and the worst — boating has to offer in Florida.

But through all those years, one question always lingered:

Why Is Boating So Expensive?

The common answer is that boating is a luxury — a privilege. But is it?

I believe everyone should have a chance to experience life on the water. Not just those who can afford big-store pricing.

That’s why I created Boatsman’s.com — to give the everyday boater an authentic, reliable, and professional maritime supply experience without the hefty price tag. Because boating is expensive, but maintaining one shouldn’t have to be.

We’re more than just a marine supply store. We proudly give back to the communities we serve. A portion of every purchase supports veteran causes, ocean cleanup efforts, and Florida-based conservation organizations — such as Force Blue, Coral Restoration Foundation, Florida Department of Environmental Protection, and lighthouse preservation groups.

At Boatsman’s, we believe we are stewards of the sea, responsible for protecting Florida’s waters for future generations of boaters.

We’re also leading an industry first. Inspired by the heroes above and below the water, Boatsman’s will offer a dedicated category of adaptive boating products to help veterans and individuals with disabilities get back on the water — where they belong.
